How this site makes money

This site carries no display advertising and no sponsored posts.

Some links to banks, insurers and phone providers are affiliate links. If you open an account through one, this site may earn a commission. It costs you nothing, and the price is the same as going direct.

Three rules keep that honest:

1. Admin guides carry no affiliate links at all. Anything about your titre de séjour, the prefecture, ANEF, CAF or impôts is commission-free, because there is no honest product to sell you there.
2. Every affiliate link is labelled on the page where it appears.
3. Recommendations are not for sale. No company can pay to be recommended, and nothing gets recommended here that I would not tell a friend to use.
